Your Child Wants to Be a YouTuber

My kids watch YouTube videos of funny vines about animals, video game hacks, original animations, and Youtubers (people who make videos) who play videos games for a living by posting their videos up to YouTube. I can honestly say that in the beginning I didn’t understand it. Maybe it’s because I come from the generation where we watched cartoons after school and every Saturday morning. Maybe it’s because my husband and I voted for no…

Summer Break and Screen Time

Hello again! Lars’ Mom here. If your kiddos are anything like mine, they want more screen time – more time playing video games and  watching YouTube videos now that they have hours of free time during summer break.  Whether you work or you have all day with your kids, keeping them engaged in ‘productive’ activities all day can sometimes be a challenge during summer break. Am I right? I can work from pretty much anywhere I can hop onto…

Neither Chris nor I take a huge interest in watching them on…

How to Make a Maker with 15 Minutes a Day

Larscraft is a family business that grew up out of an idea of a 7-year-old Maker. You may wonder why in the world would a 7-year-old child want to start a business. Seven year old kids are supposed to be dreaming about riding their bikes and begging mom and dad to take them to Disney World. Lars is no different in that respect. The biggest difference he has had in his life is the exposure…

Young Maker’s Fair – June 4, 2016

At Larscraft we believe in teaching and building young minds. We spent weeks preparing for an event that would uphold our company’s values.
